Tea Factory Visit

Tea Factory Visit

🍃 A Journey Through Dharamshala’s Tea Gardens & Vintage Factory

One of the most memorable experiences during our stay was a visit to the Dharamshala Tea Factory, a place where time seems to slow down, and tradition still lives in every leaf.

The day began with a leisurely walk through lush tea gardens, their emerald-green slopes rolling out like a soft carpet over the hills. The air was filled with the delicate fragrance of fresh tea leaves, and the sight of locals gently plucking them by hand offered a glimpse into a practice that has remained unchanged for generations.

Soon, we arrived at the tea factory, a charming vintage structure that stands as a living testament to Kangra Valley’s tea-making heritage. Inside, we watched the fascinating process unfold—sorting, drying, and rolling—each step preserving the authenticity of Dharamshala’s unique tea. The wooden interiors, antique machines, and warm smiles of the workers made the experience even more special.

Tasting a freshly brewed cup at the end was the highlight—rich, earthy, and unlike any other tea. It wasn’t just a drink; it was the flavor of the mountains themselves.

This tour was more than just a visit—it was a journey into history, culture, and the soulful rhythm of nature. A must-do for anyone who wishes to experience Dharamshala beyond its temples and trails.
